Two refrigerator doors made from different coils must look identical on the retail floor, and that requires the gloss reading to be controlled, not merely measured. Can you hold a tighter gloss tolerance?

Plus or minus 2 units is possible on a dedicated run with a single coating batch. It requires a larger minimum order because the line must be cleaned and set for one target only.

Is the coating suitable for deep drawing?

Standard 2T bend behaviour suits normal stamping and bending. For deep drawn parts we recommend a flexible primer and a slightly lower film build, and we ask for the part drawing before quoting.

Which substrate is used for indoor appliances?

Cold rolled steel is common where corrosion is not a factor, while galvanized Z120 is used for parts that may see humidity. Both are available with the same coating system.

Can colors be matched to an existing appliance range?

Yes. Send a physical panel from the current range and we match against it, since aged panels read differently from a printed color reference.

Packing and Line Side Handling

Coils ship eye to sky with removable PVC film, paper interleaving and steel strapping on wooden pallets, labelled with heat number, coating batch and measured gloss. Appliances lines usually decoil directly into a press, so we keep the outer wrap clean and free of adhesive residue that can transfer onto the coated surface during uncoiling. Where a plant runs automated decoiling, tell us the mandrel diameter and we set the coil eye and wrap tension accordingly, so the coil feeds without snatching at start up.

Coating thickness matters more than coating brand in service: Top 18 - 22 micron, primer 5 micron. Below roughly 20 micron total build, UV exposure in strong sun starts to chalk the surface within a few years, and the colour drifts before the steel itself shows any problem.

Formability is specified as T bend 2T for stamping and bending. This determines whether the strip can be roll formed and folded at the job site without cracking the coating over the bend radius, which is the most common cause of premature coating failure on roofing panels.
